The time delay estimation algorithm plays an important role in positioning radiation source radar,seismology,and Global Positioning System(GPS).It is a commonly used method in positioning.The most important thing to adopt this method is to estimate the time delay.The estimation accuracy of the estimation directly affects the positioning accuracy.In this paper,the time delay estimation algorithm is mainly applied to the positioning part of the water supply pipeline.In this paper,the basic correlation method and adaptive time delay estimation method based on least mean square error(LMS)are generalized in combination with the leaking environment.At different SNRs,the weighted form of the basic correlation method and the performance of adaptive delay estimation algorithm based on LMS are compared.The results show that the LMS-based adaptive delay estimation algorithm has good stability and noise resistance.More suitable for leak location.The algorithm can update and adjust the parameters of the filter to obtain the relevant results,thus overcoming the deficiencies of prior knowledge required by the correlation method and improving the positioning accuracy.However,there are also disadvantages such as slow convergence rate and large amount of calculation.In order to further optimize the positioning algorithm,several improved adaptive algorithms are introduced in this paper: polarity-oriented LMS(PPLMS)algorithm,truncated data LMS(CDLMS)algorithm,zero-crossing drive LMS(ZFLMS)algorithm and normalized LMS(The NLMS)algorithm,through computer simulation analysis,verifies the feasibility of the improved algorithm.Finally,the water supply pipeline signal acquisition system based on the wireless sensor network is used as the hardware platform.For the real signal of the collection pipeline,the signal is processed and analyzed by the improved algorithm,which verifies the effectiveness of the improved adaptive algorithm,in which the truncated data LMS algorithm is estimated.Performance is the best.
