Study On The Influence Factors Of International Passenger Traffic Volume Of Ningbo Airport Based On Grey Relation Theory

Ningbo airport,as an important window for the economic development of Ningbo city,plays an increasing important role in the economic and social development.Ningbo municipal government has paid more and more attention to the development of Ningbo airport.However,at present,the size of Ningbo airport is obviously too small,and its advantages in promoting economic development are far from being fully developed.This is very unfavorable to the whole development of the international transportation industry of Ningbo.Therefore,to strengthen the construction of Ningbo international airport is significant to the improving of urban comprehensive functions and to the further economic and social development of the city.In this context,this paper discusses the development trend of international passenger traffic in Ningbo airport from the perspective of the main factors affecting the international passenger traffic volume of Ningbo airport.First of all,according to the characteristics of international passenger traffic system and relevant experts,summed up the factors that may influence the international passenger traffic volume of Ningbo airport,such as GDP,per capita gross domestic product,total population,the per capita consumption expenditure,the foreign trade,airline planning,urban competition,exchange rate,airport service ability and service level,and so on.Then,combined with the actual situation of Ningbo and the characteristics of its export-oriented economy,analyzed 11 main aspects of the regional economic development environment,the global economic development environment,economic openness,residents’ consumption ability,airport service ability,airport service quality,urban competition,tourism development and foreign investment environment,foreign investment and the RMB exchange rate,then concluded 15 indicators from the 11 main aspects,including the regional GDP of Ningbo,global economic growth,import and export of Ningbo,the total permanent population of Ningbo,total disposable income,the maximum number of passenger traffic,infrastructure stocks of Ningbo airport,staff number of Ningbo airport,normal flight rate of Ningbo airport,error rate of luggage of Ningbo airport,surrounding city competition effect,international tourist arrivals in Ningbo,actual foreign direct investment of Ningbo,foreign investment and the RMB exchange rate,which were the main factors influencing the international passenger traffic volume of Ningbo airport.Eliminated the indicators with less correlation with international passenger volume,and 12 main influencing factors were left.Then,the grey model was applied to estimate the correlation degree of the 12 factors.The results showed that the magnitude on correlation degree between the main 12 factors and international passenger traffic volume were international tourist arrivals in Ningbo,normal flight rate of Ningbo airport,maximum number of carrying passengers,actual foreign direct investment of Ningbo,foreign investment of Ningbo,urban competition effect of Ningbo,global economic growth,the total permanent population of Ningbo,import and export of Ningbo,staff number of Ningbo airport,regional GDP of Ningbo and disposable income of residents.Finally,combining with the research conclusion,put forward relevant suggestions on five aspects,including improving the service for tourists,optimizing the operation and management of Ningbo airport,expanding transport capacity,exploring differentiation of development and increasing the new airline policy subsidies.
