The per capita water resource occupation of China is relatively small,and many cities are in extreme water shortages.This has constrained the city's development.As such,water transfer projects such as the South-to-North Water Transfer Project,the introduction of the Han Dynasty,and so on have become more widely adopted.At the same time,the design of single pipeline transformed into connecting pipes or branch pipes.These changes such as abrupt pressure in the pipeline due to the sudden stop of the pump or the closing of the valve,would cause sudden changes in the flow rate of the water flow in the water supply system.This sudden changes also called the water hammer,which could bring potential security concerns.Although the phenomenon of water hammer occurs within a short period of time,the damage caused is great,and the water hammer of cavities collapsing is the most serious.In the case of double-pipe water conveyance project,once water hammer occurs,it will have greater impact.Therefore,while increasing the water supply guarantee rate,the water hammer protection problem when setting up different numbers of connecting pipes for double water pipelines should also arouse people's attention.The importance attached to it and the adoption of effective water hammer protection measures are the key to ensuring the safe operation of such projects.This paper describes the definition of water hammer,the classification of water hammer and the harm caused by water hammer phenomenon.It describes the theoretical basis of water hammer analysis and the common water hammer protection measures,and gives two kinds of boundary conditions at the connected pipe,and the C++ programming language was used to numerically simulate the water hammer accidents that occurred after the two-pipe running pipeline was installed without connecting pipes and connecting pipes.Combined with the engineering case,a comparative study was conducted on the installation pressure of the 90%,80%,and 70% of the designed water in the double-pipe aqueducts and the corresponding number of connected pipes.With the increase of the number of connected pipes,the pipeline operating pressure line is slowed down and the operating pressure from the start to the end is reduced.Therefore,with the increase in the number of connected pipes,the smaller pipeline pressure value can be selected accordingly.This can save engineering investment to a large extent.for long distance water transmission projects.At the same time,the connecting pipe has an impact on the water hammer boosting when the system stops pumping water hammer,and gives a double pipe running pipe without stopping the connecting pipe,setting a connecting pipe,and setting two communicating pipes.Water hammer protection measures provide reference for similar engineering cases of double pipe running pipelines with connecting pipes.
