Municipal water delivery pipe is mainly laid in the city below the ground, which safety of the pipeline system is related to the security of the entire city water supply. Due to the different material properties of pipe, the short service life, the state of disrepair for a long time, and easy to aging and degradation, vulnerable to corrosion, all these can caused the municipal water pipeline burst frequently.It is very important for municipal water engineering to choose the materials and specifications of pipe reasonably, which providing the guarantee for the normal production, life and a good social order.RPC materials is a kind of cement composite materials with super-high strength and high durability, which has the characteristics of high toughness, excellent volume stability, smaller shrinkage-creep and strong anti permeability. So this paper studied of a new type of material — Reactive Powder Concrete Pipeline has the great significance in the water delivery project application.The works for this thesis as follows: Based on the referring data and related literature at home and abroad, The thesis established the finite element model of buried pipes of RPC materials by ANSYS, which taking the experimental research data of the project group as the reference, considering the mechanical properties of the water delivery pipeline, and the superior performance of reactive powder concrete.Firstly, the static analysis of the reactive powder concrete pipeline is carried out, when it is subjected to permanent load, the pipe structure is symmetric distribution on the Y axis, which can be seen from the displacement and stress strain distributions images. Secondly, when the load and the nominal inner diameter of pipe are unchanged and the wall thickness is gradually decreased. The static analysis of the 45 groups of reactive powder concrete water delivery pipelines are performed. The summarization is that when the wall thickness gradually decreases to the nearby 8mm, the stress value of the active powder concrete water delivery pipeline reaches or over the limit, and it can be used in engineering only after being improvement. when the load and the inner diameter are unchanged, the static analysis of reactive powder concrete water delivery pipelines with different wall thickness is carried out which think of the effect of four kinds of vehicle load level. The stress of the pipelines increases with the increase of the load level of the vehicle, Even though the car load exceeds 20, the stress can still meet the requirements, and the pipelines can be used safely in the municipal engineering.Finally, the article concluded the Reactive Powder Concrete Pipeline’s structure and construction requirements, including reasonable layout of pipe and design considerations, interface form of circular pipe, values of reinforced protective layer, foundation processing and daily work of the municipal pipe network management and maintenance.
