Study On Environmental Design Of Urban Community Park

In the 40 years of reform and opening-up,with the development of economy and society,community parks in urban area play an important role in improving the residents' life quality.In the process of realizing the grand "Two Centenary Goals",according to the requirement of people orientation,the construction of urban community park in our country will usher in a new opportunity period,and the majority of urban residents are placing higher expectation on the environment of urban community park.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the environmental design of urban community parks.To this end,with the case study of "Erqi" Community Park in Jiangan District,Wuhan,this paper carried out to study the environmental design of urban community park.The main contents of the paper are as follows:Through the collection and collation of domestic and foreign literature,the research progress of environmental design of community park at home and abroad is combed and analyzed.By closely looking at the literatures related to this research,the author found that the research subjects were mostly aiming at the site demand of specific population,while the study of the site and activity mode of the rest of the population is rather rare.For this purpose,based on the theory of environmental psychology,environmental aesthetics and the theory of urban public space design proposed by Danish Architect Yang,this paper studies the factors affecting public use behavior in community park's public space,focuses on the interaction between human behavior and environment,and takes human needs and behavior activities as the basis of environmental design.The application of the theory of environmental aesthetics centers on the harmony between natural landscape and man-made landscape.This study draws lessons and absorbs merits from excellent community park design cases from home and abroad,thereby providing certain reference to the research and practice of city community park environmental design.On this basis,with the case study of "Erqi" Community Park in Jiangan District,Wuhan,using the methods of field observation,questionnaire investigation and site interview,this paper investigates,studies and analyzes the spatial environment,environmental facilities,user's behavior mode and environmental demand of the park.It is found that Wuhan "Erqi" Community Park is presented with certain problems,such as single activity site type,lack of supporting service facilities,weak regional culture and insufficient greening.Therefore,this paper puts forward that in terms of environmental design,community parks should focus on the needs of the users,pay attention to the creation of beautiful natural environment,of a variety of activities and open spaces,of the improvement of park supporting facilities,and of the reflection of the cultural nature.In order to apply the theory into practice,the paper redesigns the environment of "Erqi" Community Park in Wuhan,thereby providing a useful exploration for the environment improvement of the existing urban community parks.
