| The aging problem is an irresistible trend in the current Chinese society and the problems that it brings about may threaten social harmony if measures not taken.People’s lifestyle has changed because of the implementation of birth control and the urbanization trend.More aged people move outside rather than stay with their family,so the senior apartment has become one of their top Choices.Meanwhile,with the living standards and living environment improving and more people get educated,the elderly has higher requirement for the indoor environment of the apartment.The housing surroundings should be tailored to people’s needs.The design of the indoor environment should meet various demands of the aged both mentally and physically.The thesis,starting from Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,analyzes different levels of needs of the elderly;moreover,the author chooses three typical senior apartments out of the existing ones in Wuhan city.After taking field trip and talking with the users and the persons in charge and with the statistics from the survey,the thesis analyzes the problems and put forward the design principle for three-bedroom senior apartments,On this basis,the positioning of “settle to live”,“comfortable to live”,and“love to live” is formed,so as to establish the concept for indoor environment design of the senior apartment and the optimum theoretical framework for it.1.The concept of Sanju type indoor environment design of houses for the elderly is put forward: creating a safe,healthy,comfortable,dignified,happy pension environment for the aged as the goal.Based on Maslow’s demand theory and spatial behavior theory,the special needs of the elderly in the physiological,psychological,spiritual and cultural aspects of the apartment environment as division system and take the basic goal,the promotion goal,the ultimate goal as the premise,we can construct a hierarchy of three apartments whose Abbreviation is Sanju type indoor environment design of houses for the elderly indoor environment: comfortable,livable,and bu the park.2.The principles of optimizing Sanju type indoor environment design of houses:Creating “home” as the design basis;creating a “livable home” as the design core;creating “bu the park” to deepen design.3.Based on the theory of Sanju type house for aged,under the guidance of the above principles,the operation ways of actualize Sanju indoor environment are as follows:Perfect organizational guarantee system;create comfortable and healthy indoor environment;Create a recreational space that is good for mental health.Lastly,it is hoped that the design plan argued in the thesis may enrich the existing theory regarding senior apartment indoor environment design,which may possibly contribute to its development in Wuhan area and promote the sustainable development of the senior apartment in China. |
