As an important part of the cooling system of the construction vehicle,the cooling fan provides sufficient air flow for the radiator in the cooling system,and creates a good air flow environment for the engine cabin.With the increasingly stringent requirements of energy saving and emission reduction in the country,the performance requirements of cooling fans are gradually improved in construction vehicles.In order to improve the performance of cooling fan,a cooling fan simulation model is established based on a domestic grader.Grid division and boundary setting are completed in gambit.Numerical simulation of cooling fan simulation model is carried out with CFD numerical simulation method.The simulation results are compared with experimental data,and the correctness of simulation method is verified.Referring to the performance parameters of the original fan,the original fan is designed and calculated by the variable ring design method.Under the same boundary conditions,the new fan model is simulated by the same kind of simulation method,and the simulation results of the original fan are compared with that of new fan,and the improved effectiveness is verified.By establishing the physical model of the radiator and cooling fan,the different combination forms are simulated and analyzed,and the influence of different combination characteristics on the performance of the new fan is obtained.The influence of the installation angle,the number of blades and the ratio of wheel hub on the performance parameters of new fan blade are analyzed,and the signal to noise ratio(SNR)of different combinations is analyzed by the orthogonal test simulation results,and the influence of different structural parameters on their comprehensive performance is obtained.The mathematical model of cooling fan performance prediction was established,and the parameter design model was established based on the new fan flow and total pressure,and the multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)was used to optimize the model.The simulation results of the optimized fan were compared with that of new fan,and the feasibility of the optimization results was verified.The results provide a certain reference basis for the optimization design of the cooling fan of the construction vehicle,which is of great significance to improve the performance of the cooling fan.
