Cars are indispensable with more and more material now.,However, traditional cars bring big problems as well as convenience for sustainable development : nonrenewable oil, exhaust air pollution, and so on.The development of new energy vehicles is considered to be a new direction for the transformation of traditional fuel vehicles under such a background. It is both a new industry and a high-tech industry. The industrial competitiveness of a country is actually the competitiveness of outstanding enterprises in various industries of the country: strong enterprises bring strong industries, then bring a strong country. The new energy automobile industry is also characterized by its long industrial chain,in which it supstream and downstream are involved with "battery, motor, electric control",and the design and matching of the whole car,as well as the construction of basic charging facilities. All of them can be described as many links and many fields. The competitiveness is more like a measurement of the comprehensive strength of an industrial cluster. As we all know, the core of the new energy automobile industry is technology research and development.Consumers are picky, who will make a lot of demands on the supply side: endurance, battery life, charging time and safety, all of which are the very key point that motivates enterprises to seek technological breakthroughs and enhance their competitive strength. How to help new energy vehicle enterprise in China with strength enhancement on the basis of the industrial reality is worth deep thinking over.Competitiveness of China's new energy automobile enterprises taken as the research object, this paper discusses the influencing factors of competitiveness of the industry through theoretical and empirical methods, and demonstrates the influence of each factor with data, putting forward to some suggestions. The paper is divided into five parts: the first part is introduction, expounding background, meaning, and method of the paper. The second part starts from the theoryof endogenous growth, from a country's economic growth to industrial development and then to enterprise production. The source of its competitiveness is technological progress. At the same time, combined with the traditional diamond model in the international trade theory,a new five-factor framework is constructed to analyze technology-based enterprise competitiveness, which provides theoretical support for the following research. The third part, according to the five-factor analysis method, macroscopically analyzes the current development situation of the new energy automobile industry in China, mainly including the R & D(capital, experts)investment, production, sales and price, battery motor production, charging pile market and policy. The second and third part are qualitative analysis, the fourth part is to build a regression model, select factors related to variables, data collection, processing and other quantitative analysis. The fifth part is the conclusion and suggestion.According to the result of regression analysis,it is concluded that R & D investment,R & D expenditure, which represents technological progress factor, has the most significant positive correlation on the competitiveness of automobile enterprises. The data demonstrate the core position of technological progress in the composition of five factors of competitiveness.Other factors: pile coverage and lithium battery output will also affect the output of new energy vehicles to some extent, and the regression results are both positive correlation. Finally, this paper puts forward to the relevant policy recommendations.
