Analysis On The Application Of Rain Garden In Landscape Design Of Shengxiyuan Community

With the rapid development of economy and society,the city is expanding and the ecological environment is being destroyed.What's more serious is the irrational urban planning and the imperfection of municipal drainage facilities,which broke the virtuous cycle of water and caused a lot of inconvenience to people's lives.The two major problems of urban floods and urban water shortages have become a problem that urban builders worry about and it urgently need to be deatl with.It is the proposal of the "sponge city" construction concept that makes the development and utilization of rain water an effective way to solve the urban water problem.rain garden is an important “sponge” of the city,a product of the city's use of rainwater combining with the landscape.Its construction cost is relatively low,but the function is strong,it is small and exquisite,the form is varied,maintenance and repair are relatively simple,so it is widely used in urban green space,streets and other spacesThe green space in a residential community is an important part of the urban green space,it urgently needs the introduction of a rain garden,since the purified rainwater can be fully used in the production and life of residential communities,from point to surface,and it spread to the entire urban network,contributing its greater ecological value,it can mitigate the problem of water shortage.Based on the application of rain garden in the landscape design of Shengxiyuan Community,we explored the design method of rain gardens in urban residential communities from the perspective of landscape design.Firstly,we must define the meaning of the rain garden,analyze its characteristics,and summarize the classification method.Secondly,we elaborated the application principles,design forms,rainwater collection and planting methods of rain garden in the landscape design of Shengxiyuan Community.It is hoped that through this study,we will provide new ideas and methods for the ecological and rational application of rain gardens tolandscape design of residential communities in future.
