The Internet of things is an important component of the modern IT technology.It plays a vital role in the development of network technology.The Internet of things is permeating all walks of life at a fast speed.This paper combines the technology of the forklift and the Internet of things,and expounds the significance and related technologies of the remote monitoring system for the working condition of the forklift truck,including the acquisition of information data,the global positioning of the GPS satellite,the remote communication of the GPRS wireless network and other related technologies.This system is mainly suitable for port and wharf and open working environment.It can monitor the working condition data of forklift truck in real time,such as speed,position and load of vehicle.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)the theoretical basis of forklift working condition monitoring terminal is studied,and the overall scheme of forklift working condition monitoring system is put forward.The system mainly consists of two parts of the monitoring platform and the vehicle terminal.The vehicle terminal mainly includes the weighing module and the GPS positioning module.The real-time load,speed and GPS positioning information of the forklift truck are collected by the vehicle mobile terminal which is the core of the STM32 microcontroller.And the information is encapsulated in a data packet by using the GPRS module.The data is uploaded to the database,the monitoring platform is used to collect and parse the packaged data,and the specific location and data information of each forklift is displayed in real time,so as to achieve the purpose of monitoring the real time of the forklift.(2)the hardware and corresponding software of the truck mounted vehicle monitoring terminal are designed and developed.The terminal takes STM32 microcontroller as the core,weighing module and GPS positioning module to realize data acquisition,and DTU module realizes data transmission function.The software design includes SCM software and monitoring platform software.It realizes the function of collecting data from the timing terminal and monitoring the platform to update the monitoring data regularly.(3)the overall test of forklift monitoring system has been completed,including precision testing,functional testing and comprehensive testing.The accuracy test shows that the measurement error of the weighing sensor is basically in the range of 5kg,the error of the positioning precision of GPS is less than 5 meters,and the error of the vehicle terminal speed measurement isnot more than 0.5km/h.The function test shows that the vehicle terminal of the forklift truck meets the requirements for data acquisition of the forklift,and the monitoring platform meets the requirements of the vehicle location information query,the load history data query,the historical track replay and other monitoring functions.Through the comprehensive test,the vehicle terminal realizes the real-time collection of the forklift working condition data and the function of the monitoring platform to update the related data in real time.This system fully meets the design requirements.To sum up,the forklift condition monitoring system proposed in this paper provides a valuable reference case for forklift operation monitoring.
