With the rapid development of the modern city,The number of urban manhole covers is increasing,but there are many problems in daily management,such as the loss of manhole cover,the overflow of sewage and the high concentration of combustible gas,etc.These problems endanger personal safety and cause huge economic losses.Although our country has taken manual patrols to deal with the problem of manhole covers,manual patrols can’t achieve the all-around manhole cover supervision.In order to solve the above problems,based on the technology of IoT,this paper puts forward a new type of safety monitoring system for manhole cover,which combines ZigBee technology and GPRS technology.TThe system can collect manhole cover information in real time,it realizes the real-time monitoring and real-time alarm for the urban manhole cover.It provides new ideas for manhole cover management,and improved the efficiency of administrators.The research work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,a multi-sensor terminal acquisition node is designed.In order to find the manhole cover problems in time,the paper adopts the CC2530 as the control core and simultaneously uses the modern sensor technology to realize the data acquisition for the cover angle,the water level and concentration and the combustible gas concentration.Secondly,ZigBee wireless sensor network and GPRS long-distance communication network were built.On the one hand,the serial wireless sensor network is constructed and each collection node is able to possess both the data acquisition function and the routing information function,which effectively solves the communication issues between manhole covers;On the other hand,the data are uploaded to the monitoring center platform via the GPRS network of gateway node,which realizes the long-distance communication of the data.Finally,the monitoring center platform is developed to realize the remote monitoring of the manhole cover.Using C# software programming,based on the monitoring center platform designed by SQL database,the data of the manhole cover uploaded by gateway node are read,so as to realize the real-time display of the cover information,the threshold alarm setting and the historical data query function.In this paper,the hardware acquisition status and the communication effect of the system,the monitoring center platform and its power consumption condition are tested and analyzed,the results show that the hardware acquisition and data wireless communication of this system and the monitoring center platform and its power consumption have utterly met the design requirements of this system.As a result,by using this system,the problems of manhole covers can be solved more early,and realized real-time online monitoring of urban manhole cover conditions.
