Risk Precaution And Counter-measures Study Of Overseas Engineering Contract Projects For Chinese Enterprises

With development of the reform and opening-up policy,more and more Chinese enterprises have been participating in overseas engineering contract.They are enjoying enormous development opportunities and economic benefit,meanwhile confronting with unprecedented diversified risk:more complicated development patterns,more uncertain operating environment,shortage of their management capability,etc.Therefore,these Chinese enterprises have to take seriously of risk management of overseas engineering contract.The article studies on the basic theories risk management of overseas engineering contract,and two cases studies:light-rail project in Mecca by China Railway Construction Corporation(CRCC);A2 high-way in Poland by China Overseas Engineering Co.,Ltd(COVEC).On the basis,the article analyses the causes of risk to overseas engineering contract by Chinese enterprises,and recommends how to build the risk management system.In details,the article firstly analyses the research background and meaning,identifies the research ways and logics;secondly the article concludes the research status in the field of overseas engineering contract risk,sums up the category of overseas engineering risk;thirdly the article makes the detailed study of the two above mentioned cases,and manages to find the common causes for their failure;finally the article makes the detailed recommendation on how to build the risk management system corresponding to development,implementation and operation periods of project,which is the reference of risk management for Chinese engineering contract enterprises.There are two creation in the article.1.The article takes case-analysis method to study the two typical cases:CRCC light-rail in Mecca,COVEC A2 high-way in Poland,searches for the common causes for their failure,as the reference for the Chinese enterprise which are willing to participating in overseas engineering contract.2.The article divides project into development,implementation and operation periods,and makes the common and practical recommendations on establishment of risk management system according to the three different periods...
