In order to enhance the capability of detecting targets and make use of hull's space fully,the array which can cover the whole body of ship is the main arrangement of large-scale warships in the future.Research on conformal array can provide powerful theoretical support for the realization of hull array coverage in submarines and ships in the future.Firstly,the directivity of three types of conformal arrays is analyzed by using ray acoustics principle and electronic phase compensation method.The directivity function of conformal arrays and the array gain in isotropic noise field are deduced theoretically.The array gain is only related to the parameters of array such as the type,the elements' number and the spacing.The directivity function and the array gain under the isotropic noise field of steered conformal array are deduced.The array gain is not only related to the parameters,but also to the steering angle.Secondly,the directivity when be natural and steered and array gain which are influenced by the parameters of the conformal cylindrical array are obtained by Matlab software simulation: the elements' number of circle array,the number of single discrete line array,the ratio of spacing and wavelength.The influence of vertical dimension array's angle on the directivity when be natural and steered and array gain of the conformal cone array is obtained through the Matlab simulation.By using Matlab to simulate the interval angles of different vertical dimension elements,the influence of natural and steered conformal spherical array with the vertical dimension of the angle of change can be adapted.The parameters of array can be adapted with the rule and the required ability.Then,the finite element modeling software Comsol and Matlab are combined to analyze the directivity of conformol array under the rigid baffle.Comparing the simulation results with the theoretical results,it is found that the mutual coupling between the array elements and the finiteness of the baffle have a great impact on the directivity of the array element.By analyzing the influence of the vertical distance between the baffle and the element on the directivity of the element and the array,the baffle can increase the received sound pressure at the location of element in front of the baffle and improve array gain;In order to prevent the main lobe of the element split,the spacing between the array element and the baffle should be controlled within a quarter wavelength.Finally,based on the different vertical array influenced the vertical detecting ability from three types of conformal array,the research on the asymmetrical conformal array and theconformal array which vertical array staggered arrangement is done.The asymmetric conformal array consist of discrete linear array and circular array.The number ratio of arc elements and discrete linear array,the inclination angle of discrete linear array and the starting position of circular array can make the detecting ability of asymmetric conformal array different.Using Matlab to simulate the staggered conformal array,it is concluded that three types of conformal array can achieve the whole-angle scanning in the vertical direction.If the range of array gain should be controlled within 1dB,the vertical spacing(35)d between the same order hydrophone should be controlled within the range of 0.17 to 0.35 wavelength.
