The application of cylindrical array in underwater sonar system is very extensive.With the rapid development of modern submarine stealth technology,the target detection capability of sonar system needs to be further strengthened.Therefore,the research of layout technology about low frequency high power cylindrical array is very practical significance.Firstly,the directivity of the cylindrical array is analyzed theoretically by using the principle of ray acoustics and the phase compensation method.And the influence of the mutual radiation on the cylindrical array is analyzed theoretically by using studying the effect of the acoustic field on the radiation surface of the element.Secondly,the directivity function of in-phase pistons cylindrical array and phased pistons cylindrical array is deduced by using the directivity theory of cylindrical array.And the influence of the quantity of staves,radius ratio wavelength,the quantity of vertical layers,vertical space ratio wavelength,the width of elements,the height of elements and phased direction on the directivity and the array gain of the cylindrical array are analyzed respectively.Additionally,the mutual radiation theory of the cylindrical array is used to analyze the influence of the mutual radiation between the elements on the close-packed cylindrical array.And the expression of the mutual radiation impedance of rectangular piston elements on the cylindrical array is deduced.What's more,the variation of the mutual radiation impedance of rectangular piston elements on the cylindrical array with layout space is analyzed.And for the radius of the array in the range of 3 to 6 wavelengths and the height or width of rectangular piston elements in the range of 1/6 to 1/3 wavelength,when the space between adjacent vertical elements in the range of 0.4 to 0.5 wavelength range and the radian values of adjacent horizontal elements with z axis of the hinge in the range of 0.1 to 0.15 wavelength,the mutual radiation between elements has little effect on the emission performance of the close-packed cylindrical array.Finally,the expression of the reflection coefficient of the single-layer baffle,the total acoustic field of elements,the directivity of elements,the response of elements and the directivity function of the baffle cylinder array are deduced by the scattering principle of the acoustic baffle.The influence of the material of the baffle and the vertical distance of the baffle to the element on the directivity of elements,the response of elements and the directivity of the baffle cylindrical array are analyzed.The results show that the absolute soft baffle has a better effect on the directivity of cylindrical array.And when the vertical distance between the absolute soft baffle and the element is one-eighth wavelength,the side lobe of the directivity pattern of the baffle cylinder array can be well suppressed,and the array gain can be improved by 3dB.
