Biomass oil is a kind of clean liquid fuel that is obtained by anaerobic flash pyrolysis of biomass, therefore, using it reasonably can solve the environmental problems caused by the improper straw treatments and the shortage of fossil energy, and the equipment directly using biomass oil includes the burner. The biomass resources of China is very rich, but the treatment is relatively low-end.The liquid fuel burners are mainly used for petroleum and heavy oil now,and the development of bio-oil burner is slow.To make large-scale use of bio-oil,this type of dedicated burner must be developed. In the paper,a liquid dual-fuel burner for bio-oil is designed for industrial heating.Combining with the previous studies of the properties of biomass oil and relevant researches, the paper proposes a overall design scheme, which is based on the heavy oil burner and applied to lt/h steam boiler.Meanwhile, this paper also presents a three-dimensional model of burner. The keys of designing biomass oil burner are atomization and ignition.Combining with several common schemes and fuel characteristics, the paper designs a combination nozzle that combines the inside-mixing and y-type nozzles with 1MPa compressed air.Comparing several kinds of ignition methods, the ignition of biomass oil burner adopts the way of liquefied gas ignition.By the Fluent simulation, the paper shows the optimum zones of the suitable length, atomization of mixing chamber and the key parameters of ignition. Finally, the combustion of biomass oil is simulated with the Fluent. The paper discusses the combustion flame state of excess air distribution and it obtains the suitability of the numerical simulation.Meantime, the simulation combustion also obtains several state parameters of the combustion chamber, which provides a certain engineering reference for designing the biomass oil burner.
