Residential district is an important carrier for human living.A good indoor and outdoor living environment is conducive to improving the intent of the residents’ outdoor interactive activities,adding vitality and activity to the residential areas.However,in recent years,while the amount of urban housing construction has been increasing year by year,it is difficult to ensure the comfort of the living environment.Especially in the hot summer and warm winter regions,the summer is hot and the duration is long.The long-term high-temperature exposure outside the residential area is serious,and the thermal comfort of outdoor activities is hard to satisfy.Therefore,this study makes use of the building time-construction space to create a positive and comfortable outdoor environment,which has important theoretical and practical significance for the design of ecological settlements.The selection and layout of residential buildings is an important part of planning and design.At the same time,it is inextricably linked with the adjustment of urban micro-climate and the improvement of energy saving of the built environment.With the increase of the urban heat island effect and the pressure of resources and environment in our country,the urban planning and design with the goal of regional climate adaptability and ecological construction have attracted attention.By investigating and studying a large number of settlements,the author found that for the hot summer and warm winter Guangzhou area,the thermal comfort is an important factor affecting the use of outdoor space in residential areas in the area.Therefore,from the Angle of the design to adapt to the climate,this paper discusses how to create a suitable outdoor constellation space by optimizing the planar shape,combination layout,and plane orientation of residential buildings,using passive design techniques to improve the outdoor thermal environment of residential areas,and reduce the energy consumption of active equipment.Based on the investigation and data integration,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the spatial form and the main use of the typical residential area in Guangzhou.The object classification is based on the variables such as the height,form,combination,and orientation of residential buildings.Based on this,combined with the seasonal climate characteristics of Guangzhou and time-based needs of the main users,simulation parameters are set using computer-aided simulation software Ecotect Analysis,and calculate the number of sunshine hours,sunshine periods,and shadow shielding percentage.Comparing the simulation results with the classification evaluation and the advantages and disadvantages,this paper proposes the goals and approaches of residential building construction,as well as the optimization methods and tactics for the appropriate settlement layout.The study of outdoor space in residential areas should fully understand the time and space requirements of residents for outdoor activities;the assessment of livability and comfort in residential areas should also be based on the actual feelings of the main users.According to the special characteristics of the regional climate,combining with the spatial and temporal characteristics of the outdoor construction of residential buildings and the needs of the main users.The spatial optimization and functional compounding under climate adaptability are explored to improve space utilization,comfort and ecological benefits,in order to avoid the design from formalistic or limited to standards.
