EPS insulation board is one kind of common building material which is used for insulation of external wall.There were so many researches of the formula of the EPS insulation board,but the study of design method has almost no.This thesis built a model to simplify the EPS insulation board and stated the theoretical design formulas.First,the simplified model were built.EPS insulation board is made of EPS,binding material and foam which are mixed well and shaped by roll forming.In opinion of this thesis,a homogenous EPS board can be considered as a ternary system.The three elements are big aggregate(EPS),fine aggregate(small bubble)and binding material.The foaming agent can produce abundant bubble in the system;the big aggregate(EPS)include a vast tiny room and have very small density relative to the EPS board,so the EPS can be regarded as a big bubble,one kind of gaseous phase aggregate.Because of the introduction of big amount gaseous phase aggregates,the strength of system will be lower obviously.If the binding material has small density,we just need to introduce lesser gas to make the density of system reach a ideal aim;if the binding material have high strength,the system would have relatively higher strength after introducing of gas.Therefore,the thesis proposed strength-weight ratio should be the index to judge the material's potential whether could be used for the formation of EPS insulation board.Base on the ternary system model,we can figure out the theoretical formula easily,through the objective control of aim dry density and fully tight filling.Then the model error had been amended.Because the foam is the most unstable element in the system,unavoidable deforming effect is the primary reason of model error.Therefore,three concept were proposed: ideal air-entraining rate,true air-entraining rate,air-entraining efficiency,to amend the model error.In this thesis,the author took MOS cement EPS insulation board for example,and designed 200g/L density board,to verify the rationality and practicability of the design method.
