Energy problem is a frontier topic in the current social and economic development in China.It is an effective way to solve the energy problem in China to change the way of economic development and improve the efficiency of energy utilization.As a kind of high quality and clean energy,electric power plays an important role in the research of energy problem.Improving the electric energy efficiency is beneficial to alleviate the contradiction of power supply and demand in China,thus promoting China’s power industry development.It has important guiding significance for energy saving and emission reduction.The dissertation constructs the electric energy efficiency evaluation system based on analyzing energy efficiency and DEA model.Then,using the three stage DEA model considering the undesirable outputs,the dissertation evaluates the electric energy efficiency of 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2015.Moreover,the evaluation results are analyzed in depth from the two aspects of provinces and regions.The results show that from 2013 to 2015,the electric energy efficiency of China has a downward trend and low level.For various provinces in China,there is a certain gap in the electric energy efficiency.The electric energy efficiency of eastern,central,western and northeastern China is remarkably different.On that basis,the dissertation makes an empirical study on the influence factors of electric energy efficiency in China by using the Tobit model.The study found that the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure and the technology progress can promote the improvement of electric energy efficiency in China.The living standard and opening-up level have a positive effect on China’s electric energy efficiency,but the effect is not significant.According to the above analysis results,the dissertation puts forward relevant policy suggestions to improve the electric energy efficiency in China.
