Study On The Park Landscape Design In Cold City

There is a significant difference between cities in cold climate areas and the warmer weather of the southern areas,which causes these city's winter landscapes to be simple and bleak.By the end of 2017,the landscape industry presented a significant downward trend,thus influencing the landscapes of winter areas and the attractiveness of the cities to a certain extent.This will then lead to slow economy development and other chain reactions.Therefore,in order to increase the attractiveness of cold region cities,design must be applied to improve public area quality and highlight geographic characteristics.This paper is overall separated into five sections;the first section mainly introduces the research content,its purpose and range.It also proposes the specific investigation methods and its frame.The second section mainly describes relating concepts about parks of cold region cities and the climatic characteristics of these cities.The third section presents an outline of the construction of urban parks in cold regions,the research progress and research analysis.Through investigating into the urban parks of a representative cold regional city in China,Harbin,as well as analyzing cold regional parks of different countries in the world such as Russia,Canada,Norway,Finland,Sweden,Iceland and Denmark.Besides avoiding common errors of space design in cold regional urban parks of our country,region features should also be considered.The main reason is the loss of urban characteristics,which causes the analogy of city's styles and features to become more obvious.The fourth section investigates the space designs of cold region urban parks.Winter is significantly different compared to other seasons in cold region cities;this must be pay attention to when considering landscape design,and should be equally considered with the other three seasons in order to avoid urban parks going through a "half year idle" state which is a waste of resources.This will require parks to incorporate the climatic factors of cold region cities into the designing of the park such as that the size of cold region urban parks should be appropriate;the features of the park should target different demographics;The greening of parks should adopt scientific plant configuration in order to create a comfortable microclimate.In addition,adapting to the park cultural activity organizations of cold region parks as well as incorporating design for wind and cold protection will have a positive impact on the current situations of cold region urban parks.
