In hot-summer and cold-winter areas,the layout of the enclosed building in the existing teaching building is very common.The common forms are surrounded by three sides and surrounded by four sides.The middle enclosed space is called “The courtyard”.When the dimension of the courtyard is between the indoor scale and outdoor scale,compared to the courtyard,it is larger and easy to use.Compared to the courtyard,it is smaller and can become an indoor space by adding ceiling,in order to meet the requirements of the use of more meteorological conditions.What is different from the common atrium is that he is only one side of the sun roof,relying on lighting and taking the natural environment into building.It fully regulate the indoor environment through passive means,without other way to improve the energy consumption of atrium thermal comfort.The example in this article,the atrium of the Architectural Department of Anhui Architecture University,is such an atrium.The work done in this article is as follows:1.The first clear the research object is the architecture of the atrium,due to the particularity of architecture,the atrium space often through additional space for people to use,so we study the thermal comfort of the atrium,through thermal environment index to measure the thermal comfort improvement.Based on the study of atrium,we found that in the past,the study on the characteristics of energy consumption and thermal environment was more focused on the study of thermal comfort.2.Through Weathertool,it is possible to know what kind of passive design method can be used in the season to improve the thermal comfort,and select test and simulation season based on this.Then,the thermal environment characteristics of the atrium were studied through the measurement of the thermal environment inside and outside of the courtyard in the transition season and winter.Simulation model is set up,comparing the measured and simulated results,verify the combined with Airpak by PHOENICS,from the perspective of the environment,and finally the building indoor thermal environment simulation method is feasible,through the measured and simulated method,find out the problems existing in the atrium on the thermal comfort.3.During the transition season,through simulation studies,from the interior layout,into the position and size of outlet,outdoor environment and ventilation principle,find out the reason ofaffecting the atrium ventilation performance,on the basis of these reasons,put forward strategies to improve the indoor thermal comfort.4.In winter,through experimental simulation,this paper puts forward mainly affect the indoor thermal comfort of the atrium too poor thermal performance,in order to improve its during the winter months when using thermal comfort and to optimize the design of the simulation.5.All of the measured and simulated results,combined with the use function of the atrium and the thermal comfort requirements,in order to adapt the atrium in winter and transition seasons,the use of an optimization from the Angle of the passive design.Based on the above studies,the main conclusions of this paper are: in the transitional season,the atrium of the atrium is affected by factors such as outdoor bad environment,position size of inlet and indoor layout,etc.,and the ventilation performance is poor.Winter is affected by plane size and atrium height,only the upper part of space can be effectively heated.For this kind of atrium,reform are as follows: at the top of the atrium,USES glass atrium,heating of the heat preservation in winter,summer in the atrium at the top of the open area,increase a sunshade measures to increase the air inlet area,optimize the exhibition space arrangement,assure indoor ventilated smooth layout,optimize the environment of around the site,don’t hinder the natural wind,can maximum limit raise the atrium by using the way of passive thermal comfort.
