A Study Of Optimize Spatial Function Of Primary Coach Terminals

With rapid economic development in China,people's living condition is increasingly improving.Transportation has been heading forward in recent years.In 2017,passenger flow in China has raised up to 3.2 trillion people per kilometer,with the considerably large part of highway transportation,accounting for 1/3 of totality.It is obvious that passengers of bus transportation can't be neglected.At present,coach terminals in Guangzhou are continually improving themselves,such as optimization of several functional areas,overall promotion of buildings in coach terminal,application for upgrading to be primary bus coach terminal and integration of several third-level and fourth-level coach terminals into primary coach terminal.Under the circumstance,to ameliorate building design of coach terminals and experience of passengers is new tendency for development of coach terminal.Guangzhou is not only the center of politics,economy,technology,education and culture in Guangdong province,but also an indispensable role in southern transportation.As a result,buildings at coach terminal enjoy rapid evolvement and spatial function of coach terminal is still improving.Passengers are subjects in coach terminal,whose behaviors are composed of tickets purchasing,security inspection,waiting for the bus,dining and using toilets.After getting off the bus,passengers will go across a station which is external space of coach terminal.In order to provide supreme service and comfortable experience to passengers,it's essential to pay attention to their behaviors and the places they stay at usually.On the basis of domestic and foreign books,governmental bulletin,periodicals,literatures,designing criteria and construction cases about coach terminals,this thesis studies the spatial function of the primary coach terminals in Guangzhou.At the same time,I research the development process of the primary coach terminals,compare designing criteria to that over the years,look over and research designing theory of coach terminals and investigate 13 primary coach terminals personally.Then,I analyze spatial functions of the ticket lobby,security inspection area,waiting hall,catering area,toilet,and station square in the primary coach terminal.Eventually,I research existing problems and offer my suggestion on how to optimize spatial function of primary coach terminal in Guangzhou.
