A Study On The Design Method Of Architectural Complex

As one of important forms in existing context,Architectural Complex featured with the potential to connect city,community,nature and buildings.Therefore,it is significant to study on the design methodology of complex for the sake of contemporary urban context.In the contemporary context,complex is faced with complicated building hybrid problems and contradictory urban environmental issues.The thesis attempts to explore a design methodology that simultaneously responds to environmental issues and building problems,as well as having an impact on space.Specifically,the design method of 'space composition' makes it possible to discuss complex in space level,keeping the balance between' things in the environment 'and ' a container of building content',forming effective 'space relationships' and promoting unexpected 'space characteristics' at the same time.The thesis choses 'void5'&'solid' as tools to promote the 'space composition' of complex.By design analyses,the thesis proposes three kinds of design methodology of complex:1)methodsof reconstructing the inherent relationship between "void" and "solid";(2)methods from 'space relations' to 'space characteristics' and methods from 'space characteristics' to 'space relations';3)methods of constructing 'space characteristics' and'space relations' simultaneously.The key to the design methodology of complex is to abstract and represent the space by the way of'section diagram'.The study begins from design concept to design strategy in specific designs,ending with design research.The thesis contains three parts:Part I studies on design methods of existing complex to pose the design concept on promoting the 'space composition' of complex,using 'void' 'solid' as tools.Part ? sums up the specific strategies of promoting the 'space composition' of complex by 'void'&'solid'.Part ? studies the feasibility of the design methodology of complex in design researches,which are based on the practical situation,in order to test the effectiveness and flexibility of the design methodology of complex.
