Space Research On Privately Operated Art Museum In Beijing

In the context of China’s vigorous construction of building a culturally strong country,the industry of private art galleries has experienced a development process from scratch in China.To construct and develop the industry of private art galleries is a necessary means for vigorously developing cultural undertakings and promoting contemporary art.During the passed years,in the course of development of private art galleries,many of them were in close proximity,and some were distorted.The main reason of this situation is that the operating policies of China’s private art museums are still not perfect,the design standards have not yet been professionalized,and the lack of mature art museum building experience and so on.Therefore,this dissertation studies the methods of how to design a growing number of private museums in Beijing and summarizes the generality and personality,in order to become the designing reference for private museums in the future.This dissertation makes use of literature research,field research,summary of the experience and typology methods to collect and research case information of private art galleries in China.By analyzing the background and development history of the development of private art galleries,we compare the current situation and development trends in China and abroad,and based on research cases,the operation models and spatial characteristics of private art galleries in Beijing.Combining with the traditional National Museum of Art,it analyzes the methods of architecture designing,management,development,and other kinds of information.To find the difference between them,it is necessary to analyzes it from several aspects,such as site selection,architectural modeling,space design,and exhibition streamline planning.The design rules and spatial characteristics of private art galleries have brought forward design methods with Chinese characteristics suitable for the development of private art galleries in China,and eventually concluded the guiding principles and design norms of China’s private art galleries for the future construction of private art galleries in China.Then it may offer some practical suggestions to design and build private art museums in the future.
