Research On The Interpretation And Presentation Planing Of History Towns Heritage

With continuous improvements of ideological consciousness,in society,requirements and concerns of cultural heritage have gradually increased.In heritage protection industry,the methods of interpretation and exhibition of cultural heritage are still being explored.In practice,we often find we can hardly communicate effectively to the public the interpretation of stories behind the heritage.This has caused heritage value and cultural connotation to be circulated only in the heritage protection industry,failing to achieve the ultimate goal of heritage protection.How to convey the diversity of heritage culture and the vividness of history to the society and the public,mobilize stakeholders related to the heritage,enhance their understanding of the heritage,and participate into the protection of the heritage is the main issue we are currently facing.World widely,there are increasing researches on heritage of historical cities and towns.How to protect historical culture and cultural heritage in construction of modern cities and towns is a matter that needs concentrated consideration.With the fact that many historical regions in China are fragmented due to inadequate protection,based on researches and problems stated above,this thesis studies the interpretation and exhibition of historical regions.What kind of information should we explain about the heritage of historical cities and towns?What information does it require to be communicated to the public,and how interpretations are conveyed by means of exhibition? This thesis addresses these questions accordingly.The introduction chapter of this thesis clarifies the source and background of its topic.This chapter sorts and generalizes theories of heritage interpretation,analyzes the methods of heritage interpretation and presentation,and summarizes existing heritage interpretation cases in China.The second chapter of this thesis focuses on the definition of historical cities and towns based on the concept,by referring to the concept,scope and content of historical regions from Valletta Principles and taking into account the increasing importance of historical heritage protection in China.Case analysis is presented to illustrate the general problems existed in interpretation of historical regions.The third and fourth chapters of this paper introduce methods of interpretation and presentation of historical regions respectively.These two chapters introduce the identification of historical regions interpretation,participants in interpretation,information follow-up updates,and related interpretation activities.It is determined that the presentation of historical cities and towns serves the interpretation,and the exhibition part includes exhibition principle,exhib-ition contents,and exhibition methods.The fifth chapter takes Yan'an as an example to analyze and explore theoretical methods of interpretation and presentation of historical regions in China.On the basis of Yanan's historical and cultural protection plan,this chapter firstly explains issues in interpretation and exhibition of cultural heritage in Yan'an;then describes current situation of fragmented heritage in Yan'an,studies interpretation information of Yan'an,and then provides a trial solution to interpretation and presentation plans of Yan'an.At the end,the interpretation and presentation plans of Yan'an are sorted to illustrate key points of interpretation and presentation of the fragmented historical regions.This chapter summa-rizes theoretical researches in above chapters.
