Study On The Effect Of Ash On The Modification Of Matrix Asphalt And Its Influence

Trinidad Lake Asphalt is a kind of natural lake asphalt which is produced in South America Trinidad,it is referred to as TLA.People's understanding of TLA is mainly in the modified asphalt with excellent road performance,the ash plays a part in the modified asphalt and the effect of ash on the high and low temperature performance of modified asphalt mortar are not yet fully understood.Therefore,this paper relies on the research which is about of the application of TLA in highway of Anhui Province and depends on the test road of TLA modified asphalt which is located Sixu highway.This paper studies from the following four aspects:1.From the lake asphalt ash extraction,then put it in proportion to 8.9%,10.7%,11.7%,14.2% and 17.8% in 70 added to the mixing ratio of matrix asphalt,modified asphalt were three index test,viscosity test and aging test,modification effect of ash in order to analyze the different content of matrix asphalt.It is found by experiment that the modification effect of ash is the best when the range of mixing is between 10.7% and 14.2%.2.Under high temperature and low temperature using dynamic shear rheometer using bending beam rheometer two instruments,using different fillers(slag and ash)asphalt mortar made by the high temperature dynamic shear test and low temperature bending creep test,found that the ash adsorption toughening effect,the ash asphalt mortar generates a more stable system,and the high temperature performance of asphalt mortar is better;and the ash content of flexible minimum deformation resistance is the worst that ash incorporation decreased the low-temperature performance of asphalt mortar.3.The aggregate of pavement test road AC-20 C asphalt mixture gradation ratio has been revised 1,the optimum asphalt content is 4.2%,then according to the provisions of grading chart out gradation two contrast,through the Marshall immersion,freeze-thaw splitting and rutting test on the effect of ash on asphalt mixture the performance.4.This paper analyzes the rule of ash deposition of TLA modified asphalt and puts forward suggestions for construction.Based on the analysis of the ash deposition mechanism of TLA modified asphalt and the construction control index of ash,the ash control range of TLA modified asphalt is 11.5% ~ 18%.At last,the paper puts forward the constructive suggestion to reduce the ash settlement in the construction of the Sixu expressway.
