The production process of assembled buildings differs from cast-in-situ,which is divided into two phases:prefabrication and construction. It can effectively solve a series of sustainable problems such as high pollution, high energy consumption, and low production efficiency in the production process of cast-in-situ,with a good prospect for sustainable development. In the past, sustainable evaluation of assembled buildings was mostly concentrated on the environmental and economic dimensions, while the social sustainable evaluation as one of the sustainable triple bottom lines has not yet been fully developed.Additionally assembled buildings involve more stakeholders in the prefabrication and construction phases, resulting in wider social impact. In order to compensate the deficiencies in previous research, the social impact of the prefabrication and construction stages of assembled buildings was performed based on the Social Life Cycle Assessment(S-LCA).The main work are shown as follow:(1)Based on the technical framework of S-LCA,a quantitative analysis model of life cycle social impact assessment for assembled buildings was proposed. Moreover, the author established two social impact assessment index systems for the prefabrication and construction phases respectively. Then,a site-specific survey on the characteristics of assembled buildings was conducted. Finally, combining national data and industry data, the author put forward the S-LCA calculation method of assembled buildings which can analyze the social impact quantitatively.(2)The life cycle social impact assessment model of assembled buildings was applied to practical engineering case including both prefabrication and construction phases. The results show that the social impact of the case project in the prefabrication stage is significantly better than that of the construction stage. In order to compare and analyze the social impacts between different stakeholders, further analysis of social impact assessment at the stakeholder level was conducted.(3)Sensitivity analysis of the social impacts caused by different assembled building technologies was conducted. The results show that all the assembled building technologies will improve the social performance during both prefabrication and construction stages.Among them, the application of "standardized design" has the most significant effect on the improvement of social impact at all stages.(4)In order to verify the robustness of S-LCA results, the uncertainty analysis of S-LCA was conducted. Moreover, the uncertainty of the model’s weight coefficient was also analyzed. The calculation results reveal that the social impacts of the prefabrication stage are more robust than that of the construction phase.
