The rapid economic growth of China and the advancement of urbanization have accelerated the speed of residential construction. However, the traditional construction methods have serious environmental pollution, and the haze effects caused by construction dust,in particular, cannot be ignored.Under such circumstances, prefabricated buildings as green buildings came into being and received strong support from national policies. However, the environmental impact on prefabricated buildings still remains in qualitative analysis.Based on the LCA and BIM theory, the paper makes the following researches on the life cycle impact assessment of fabricated residential buildings:(1)Life cycle impact evaluation of prefabricated residential buildings The model of input and output inventory was studied.BIM software was used to build prefabricated panels, prefabricated walls, prefabricated stairs,cast-in-place beams and column models, and a construction quantity list was obtained through quota calculation.Combining with the specific project site data, the list of energy and resource consumption in the construction process was obtained, and a mathematical theory model was established to calculate the input and output list of the building life cycle impact assessment.(2)Quantitative study of life cycle impact assessment of prefabricated residential buildings, based on LCA theory, divides the life cycle of prefabricated residential buildings into building material production phase, construction phase, operation and maintenance phase, and dismantling and waste treatment phase. The inventory data is classified, characterized, and weighted to obtain the environmental load value of prefabricated residential buildings.(3)Comparative analysis of life cycle impact assessment of prefabricated residential buildings and cast-in-place residential buildings, combined with specific engineering examples,to obtain the environmental impact load values of the two phases. The comparative results show that prefabricated residential buildings have obvious advantages in the construction phase and in the demolition and waste treatment phases.Based on the research content and results, this article briefly describes the limitations of the study and the development proposals for assembly-type buildings that should consider recycling of non-load-bearing structures in the design phase.
