Cyclic train operation mode has characteristics of high frequency,balanced-distributed departure time,and regular stop pattern,thus it is of great significance for improving the quality of train service.Compared with the developed countries such as Japan and European countries,the research on the cyclic train operation mode in China is still in the exploratory stage.According to the characteristics of large-scale rail network in China,a train operation mode with cyclic and acyclic trains is put forward in this paper,and a cyclic line pool based on train stop pattern is proposed,and a planning model is established to optimize the cyclic line plan.Researches in China or abroad usually adopt the phased optimization method for line planning.In this paper,the related research is summarized and analyzed.The main work is as follows:1.The idea of "line pool" is introduced in the course of cyclic line plan generation,and the train stop pattern is taken into consideration in the elements of the line pool,and the definition and components of the line pool are determined.The two key elements of the train OD and the train stop pattern are analyzed,and the features and forms of the line pool is described.2.Taking the existing line plan as the basic framework,the principle and method of generating the cyclic train ODs in the line pool are determined.There are differences in the generating and judging criteria between cyclic train ODs and acyclic train ODs.The determination of cyclic train ODs needs to take the functions of the terminals,the distance and the passenger demand of train ODs into account.Under the principles of satisfying passenger demand and increasing the load factor,these factors are analyzed and the conditions for their satisfaction are given.3.Considering the characteristics of the high-speed rail network in China,the diversity of the train stops is determined in order to meet the needs of different types of OD passengers.Under this background,the train enumeration method is adopted,that is,under the condition of the train ODs,the stops of each train lines are enumerated in accordance with the four stop patterns of stop in large stations,stop in large and a few medium or small stations,regionalized stop and interval stop.4.Based on the generation of the line pool,the optimization model of running plan is established.The model is a 0-1 integer programming model.The objective function is minimizing the total train operation cost,and the constraints include the train stop patterns,stopping times,service level,transportation capacity and the coupling constraints of decision variables.The paper takes the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and its related lines as a case and analyzes the index of the line plan solved by the model.It proves that the line plan has good applicability.
