A Study On The Design Method About Space And Structure

The design method of space combined with structure is an important design method.There are unique advantages to use assemblage structure as a carrier to discuss this issue.Assemblage structure has the characteristics of blending a variety of structures and containing multiple spaces,making it more accessiable to 'space composition' on the level of 'space relationship'and'space characteristics'.'Space composition' is precisely the starting point of'Structure-ing'.This thesis focuses on the key clues,which are connections between 'fragment-whole' of assemblage structure.Firstly,this thesis seeking for potential of forming new 'space relationship'and'space characteristics' by assemblage structure via starting from studying the composition of the fragments.Secondly,entrying by 'articulation',this thesis searching for opportunities to bring 'space relations' and 'space characteristics' together so that assemblage structure could maintain the feature of fragment and integrity simultaneously.Thirdly,beginning from assemblage structure itself,aiming at solving those practical problems of fragments and 'articulation',this thesis explore the combination of mechanical properties and'fragment-whole' of assemblage structure.Finally,from the perspective of connection and construction,with specific 'gong-fa',this thesis attempts to control the final relationship between various parts of the assemblage structure.The thesis contains three parts.Part ?:relationship and 'articulation' make assemblage structure lanching space composition.Part ?:realizing assemblage structure combined with mechanical properties.Part ? building assemblage structure by'gong-fa'.Three parts are based on the "design method-implementation method-construction method" of assemblage structure.The priority of the realization method and the construction method makes the assemblage structure easier to enter the space composition,so as to promote the design method of space combined with structure.
