With the development of human society currently,the city scale is expanding worldwide.And super cities have even emerged in our country with a population of more than 10 million in recent years.Under this background,there are some remaining problems in the old urban areas during the expansion of cities as the cities that people live are expanding with time.For example,urban underground drainage facilities cannot keep pace with urban development.And the ability of cities to absorb and permeate rain has been changed by hardening surface.It is because of these reasons that urban water logging caused by rainstorm in summer has occurred frequently and the situation is becoming increasingly severe,which have caused great trouble to human life.In order to meet the needs of people and society,sponge city is expected to be built in our country,that is,the effects including absorption,storage,adoption,seeping and cleanness of rain can be realized through the transformation of cities,thus alleviating the current predicament of urban development.This paper first analyzes the current research background at home and aboard,puts forward the concepts of sponge city construction and LID low impact development,and expounds the transformation significance of sponge city.Then,suitable construction plan of sponge city is analyzed according to the national conditions of our country and the present situation of researches on the concept of sponge city at home and abroad.Subsequently,the plan is arranged into sorts to form the urban road transformation scheme based on the concept of sponge city in our country in order to cope with the increasingly severe urban water logging problem.In view of the original urban road reconstruction scheme,the following aspects are mainly considered to reform including driveway,non-motor vehicle lane,sidewalk,central green belt,curb and drainage pipe network.Further,taking Jiuzhou East Road in Tongchuan City as an research example and this project as the background,material selection of bituminous concrete and ecological storage,impounding reservoir and overflow well on central green belt are discussed in detail by analyzing the whole project.Finally,the rainfall in the city is calculated in theory according to rainstorm intensity formula in Tongchuan and Chicago rainfall process.And with rainfall,the improving proportion ofrainwater utilization after road transformation in the concept of sponge city is calculated compared to traditional urban road,proving that the road transformation based on the concept of sponge city has more advantages than traditional road in terms of the collection and utilization of rainwater.Finally,the effect of the three circumstances including primary evaluation site,traditional urban road and transformation road of sponge city is simulated on the collection and utilization of rainfall with Storm Water Management Model.And the final result is compared with the theoretical calculation,further proving that the road transformation under the concept of sponge city is more conducive to the absorption and recycling of rainwater,and can alleviate the current severe drought and water logging in cities,which is worth promoting and affirming.
