At present,with the deepening and development of railway reform in China,the pace of railway passenger transportation is increasing.How to improve the competitiveness of railway passenger transport and improve the management and service level is an important issue facing the management department of passenger transport.Generally speaking,the price of railway passenger transport is guided by the government,and the distribution of fixed seats is basically adopted for the seats.In the market economy environment,the railway still faces the competition from other transportation modes,such as air,highway and so on.The existing ticket price and seat management methods are difficult to adapt to the development of the market and the dynamic passenger demand,which is not conducive to the realization of maximum income.Therefore,this paper first analyzes the necessity and feasibility of adopting flexible ticket price strategy and profit optimization in China’s railway,and draws on the experience of airline revenue management,considering the practicability and effectiveness of the algorithm,and studies the method of ticket price and income optimization for railway passenger transport.The focus of this study is how to use the pricing strategy and seat management strategy in the revenue management,and apply the income management idea to the optimization of railway passenger ticket revenue.First of all,from the current situation of railway passenger transport development,the current market environment and management status,this paper expounds the background of this study,discusses the evolution of revenue management,and explains the significance of this study.Secondly,the core content of revenue management is divided into chapters,including price discrimination,differential pricing,seat management and so on.Thirdly,based on the difference pricing and seat management of the core part of the revenue management,the feasibility of the current operating system,the management system and the income management in the external market environment is discussed.The differential pricing strategy and the improved dynamic pricing model for the passenger ticket system are compared,and the differential pricing is compared in the single area.A dynamic pricing model for railway passenger tickets is proposed.In view of the strategy of seat management,after analyzing the operating principle of the air seat management and the current railway dynamic nested seat stock control strategy,a faster and simpler method for the selection of seats is proposed.By comparing the results of standard particle swarm optimization(PSO)and elite particle swarm optimization(PSO)based on Gauss learning,the new passenger ticket revenue model using dynamic pricing and optimal seat selection method can be used to realize the increase of railway passenger transport revenue.Finally,the research contents of this article are summarized and prospected,and suggestions for further improvement and improvement are put forward.
