Flight recorder(commonly known as "black box")equipped in a commercial aircraft plays a crucial role in investigating aviation accidents and incidents.While intended to be indestructible,the flight recorder can still be damaged in extreme conditions such as explosions,crashes,etc.,or may become lost in the case of a crash in an inaccessible geographic location.In this thesis,we propose a wireless flight recorder which can transmit the data to a ground center through an aerial network with the aid of satellites.We use satellite links to provide widely available control channels and inter-aircraft wireless communications as a high-speed dynamic data plane in a software defined network framework,and optimize the flight recorder data transmission path.Since satellite bandwidth costs are high,we aim to maximize the total traffic throughput and minimize the use of satellite channels.The research includes the following aspects:1.Propose a centralized heterogeneous data transmission architecture.Most of the existing aviation network routing protocols cannot provide the optimal routing solution because the entire network information cannot be obtained.In this thesis,we propose a centralized data transmission architecture,combined with the framework of a software-defined network We utilize satellite links to provide widely available control channels and inter-aircraft wireless communication networks as high-speed dynamic data planes.The ground controller can use all the information to make optimization problem and provide optimal data transmission solutions.2.Propose a routing optimization schema when there are enough neighbor aircrafts around.We use column generation algorithm with the combination of the simplex method to solve the problem.Due to the dynamic nature of the network,another random optimization model was developed to decide whether to apply the obtained feasible solutions to the network in each time slot.Finally,the actual aircraft trajectory data was used to verify the program.3.Propose a routing optimization scheme based on delay tolerate network when there don't have enough aircrafts to form an end-to-end path to the ground station.We use delay-tolerant network to transmit data with the aid of time-expanded graphs which can translate the dynamic network problem into a static multi-commodity flows problem.The experiment verifies the feasibility of the solution.
