Due to the growing number of motor vehicles in the city,the smooth flow of intersections has posed a severe challenge.Reasonable intersection signal timing can effectively alleviate traffic congestion,reduce the delay time of vehicles,and improve the traffic capacity of intersections,which is of great significance to the intersection control and management of urban roads.The traditional signal timing method has inherent defects:modeling signal timing based on traffic flow model,modeling error can not be avoided.Therefore,the traditional signal timing control effect has great room for improvement.In recent years,with the development of traffic data acquisition technology and the improvement of computer technology,it is possible to optimize the signal timing using massive traffic flow data.Using data directly,rather than models,can avoid the effects of modeling errors.In this paper,a data driven signal timing optimization algorithm is proposed based on the actual traffic flow data.Based on this,a data driven signal timing optimization system is implemented.The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:1.Based on traffic flow data,a double time diagram is proposed.The double time diagram is an effective tool for discontinuous traffic flow analysis.Based on double time diagram,a data driven signal timing optimization algorithm is designed.The algorithm consists of three parts:green time optimization algorithm,timing scheme updating algorithm and timing scheme optimization algorithm.Through the completion of the data driven signal timing optimization algorithm design,lays the foundation for the signal timing optimization module in the data driven timing optimization system.2.Based on the theoretical research presented,this paper analyzes the software system,including system requirements analysis,system feasibility analysis and system basic function analysis,and designs data-driven signal timing optimization system.System includes data management,intersection configuration,graphics and signal timing optimization module.The database module provides the actual collected traffic flow data,the intersection configuration module configures the intersection road information,the graphic drawing module processes and displays the actual traffic flow data,and the signal timing optimization module uses the actual traffic flow data to optimize the signal timing program.3.Utilizing the system realized,taking the regional road network of Taizhou Jiaojiang District as an example,the traffic data of the main intersections are analyzed.Based on the actual traffic data,the design and analysis of the main intersections are carried out,the timing scheme is analyzed and various unreasonable problems are investigated.Through the motor vehicle trajectory,path analysis,from the microscopic understanding of the entire traffic situation,understand everyone's travel habits.Using the difference between morning and evening rush hour at each juncture,we can design the time period more accurately and optimize the intersection timing scheme.Reduce the vehicle delay time,improve traffic efficiency at the intersection.
