Transmission line tower is an important part of power transmission system and it's operating state plays an important role in the stability of electric energy transmission.There are some defects of exiting monitoring methods,such as low degree of intelligence,poor real time and inaccurate results.With the construction of strong smart grid,exiting monitoring methods can not meet the requirements of smart grid.To solve the above problems,an online monitoring method of transmission line tower state based on intelligent video is proposed in this paper.The problems of exiting monitoring method such as low degree of intelligent,poor real time can be solved effectively by applying intelligent video technology to the status monitoring of transmission line tower.Therefore,real time on-line intelligent monitoring of transmission line tower operation state is achieved.On the basis of intelligent video technology,this paper focuses on the online measurement method of inclination of transmission line tower and the online detection method of bird's nest on tower.According to the characteristics of original image of transmission tower,an image optimization preprocessing algorithm with strong generality and fault tolerance is used to preprocess the original tower image.The optimization preprocessing algorithms include image grayscale,fuzzy filtering,threshold segmentation,morphological processing and edge detection.It reduces the difficulty of subsequent processing and lay foundation for subsequent processing.The outer contour detection algorithm of transmission tower is proposed,and the improved Hough line detection algorithm is used to identify the outer contour of the transmission tower.The subsequent detection algorithms are based on it.The measurement algorithm of inclination of transmission line tower is put forward.After recognizing the outer contour of the transmission line tower,the angle of geometric center line of the outer contour is calculated,and the actual title angle of transmission line tower is detected by triangle method.According to the nesting rule of birds on transmission line tower,the basic unit segmentation algorithm of transmission line tower is put forward,and the basic unit of the tower is segmented by the local maximum value of histogram of target pixels.After the basic unit of tower is divided,we use the characteristics of basic unit that has bird's nest and basic unit that has no bird's nest to design the existence classifier of bird's nest,and realize the detection of bird's nest on transmission line tower.In this paper,the identification algorithm of outer contour of transmission line tower,the measurement algorithm of actual tilt angle of transmission line tower,the basic unit segmentation algorithm and the bird's nest detection algorithm are put forward.Therefore,the online measurement of the inclination of transmission tower and the online detection of bird's nest on transmission tower are effectively solved.It promoted the application of intelligent video technology in the field of power grid,and laid a theoretical foundation for online monitoring of transmission line tower status.It also opens up a new idea to meet the requirements of smart grid for real-time online intelligent monitoring of electrical equipment.
