Belt conveyor, as an important mean of bulk solids conveyance, has a developing history of more than 100 years. Because of the influence of terrain, geology and so on, several transport line has curves with different angles. Using belt conveyor with horizontal curves to realize natural turn will be more economical, dependable and efficient. With the development of transportation, commerce, industry, agriculture, using large belt conveyor becomes necessary, thus, the design theory of belt conveyor with horizontal curves need to improve.Taking the swerve running belt conveyor with as research object, the calculating of swerve running design parameters, which is mainly a curvature radius is resolved. The Current theoretical Research Status and the designed theoretical problem of swerve belt conveyor are discussed in the thesis, providing the theoretical design basis for the industrial application.Through analyzing the theories of the perpendicular turn (convex and cave curve), at the current research result foundation, the affecting factors of ribbon and instability in the running are studied, and the corresponding computational formula are advanced.In the analyzing the processing of the horizontal curves, by analyzing the current technique theories, the stressed mathematics model of new adhesive tape is set up, the mechanics model is deduced, relation of the static force balance is set up, and the turn radius of calculation is resolved. Structure and arrange principle of idler radius turning are discussed, the principle of better project based on conveyance working condition and customer requirement are set up, making the design of the belt conveyor to real application.After analyzing vertical curves and horizontal curves, the belt of spatial curves bring to grade turning mechanics model is analyzed, the mathematics expression of spatial cures curvature radius of running curve is obtained, pointing out the general of that type.The design theories of belt conveyor swerve running is enriched in the thesis. Structure analyzing and arrange principle of idler at horizontal curves is obtained, supporting the basis for real design. In the meantime, the static analysis of belt conveyor swerve running in the thesis providing a dependable foundation of the next dynamic analysis.
