Study Of The Decoration Techniques Of Space Exhibition Based On The Religious Meishan Context

With the global economic development,the construction of the economic integration system,and the spreading of the internationalism style,Chinese traditional culture has been seriously neglected under today's architectural context.Meanwhile,a series of criticisms and thoughts have been triggered by the vanishing of vernacular characteristics and the loss of the culture,especially when it comes to the sector of the display space decoration and design.It has become an important subject to research that how decoration and design for space display not only keep up with the development of the times in the tide of globalization,but also reflect their own cultural values and pass on Chinese vernacular culture.China is a multi-ethnic nation,where different regions and different ethnic groups have their own religious beliefs and cultural contexts.Through studying the space decoration for religious culture,we can excavate the excellent traditional cultures hidden in the treasure houses of all ethnic cultures,carry them forward and protect them.The long-standing religious culture of the Meishan region is closely related to the life styles and customs of the locals and reflects the folkway of their unaffected amicability.The decorative art featuring the local culture presents the rich historical profundity and connotation of the Meishan culture.The religious culture is an important part of the Meishan culture,and the decorative art for the religious architectural space is the entrance from which we'll explore the Meishan culture.With the "decoration methods for the display space under Meishan religious context" as the main subject,by combining the religious context,this paper brings up decoration and design methods for the display space of the Meishan region,in a bid to provide academic support for the decoration and design for the display space of the Meishan region.This paper carries out the study mainly from two perspectives-the theoretic basis and the practical demonstration.It is divided into five chapters.The first chapter systematically tells the background,purpose and significance of this study,explains the related theories at home and abroad as well as its status quo,and brings up the main problems studied in this paper and the approaches to them.The second chapter mainly interprets the concept of the display space under the Meishan religious context from four aspects-Meishan religion,religious context,display space,and the inheritance of religious culture through the display space,which paves the way for the subsequent research content.The third chapter mainly analyses the decoration methods for the religious architectural space of the Meishan region by starting with the geographic environment and the climate conditions there,and t he religious architectural space of the Meishan region is set as the subject for field study.The fourth chapter comes forward with decoration methods for the display space based on the findings of the field study and also on Meishan's religious culture fr om six aspects-the layout of the display space,the recreation of patterns,the regression of colors,the application of materials,the indoor furnishing and the light environment.The fifth chapter is the analysis of practical cases,by combining the tu tor?s two practical cases of designing the Chiyou Culture Exhibition Hall and the Meishan Cultural Museum which the author had taken part in,the author expounds decoration methods for the display space from a number of aspects such as the plane form,the function partition,the artistic conception creation,the decorative symbol,and the material structure and so on.
