Research On Strategies Of Residential Building Shading Design In Hunan District

With the rapid development of Chinese economy and the improvement of people's living standard,energy-saving of residential houses turned into the important part of sustainable development.Hunan district belongs to hot-summer and cold-winter climatic zone,heating and air conditioning energy consumption are mainly in winter and summer,so the key lies in residential energy saving are in summer and winter.Effect of summer air conditioning energy consumption is primarily solar radiatio n.Then the shade has become an important way to improve energy efficiency and indoor thermal environment.From the results of current study about building shade designing,most of the study from the perspective of engineering and focus on the relation between shade and thermal environment ?daylights and the wind environment.Less from the perspective of architecture,and most of these studies focus on the portion of shade elemen t;Secondly,since the process of shade designing is complex,the architect didn't put the shade as a special design to do,they have to set shade element due to meet regulatory requirements or to improve the indoor environment in the construction design s tage,since they didn't consider in the early,it would to achieve the insulation effect through complex shading element,the larger investment.It may also cause a greater impact in the form of antithesis at the same time.In this paper,the author take the shade as a special design to research.based on the study of the architectural design process,and combined with the characteristics of residential buildings.This artical put forward the process and strategies of shading design that architects can easily to accept,while meeting design requirements.It includes two steps,one is selecting the type of shade and another is design ing the shading element.In the asptects of selecting the type of shade.especially in the early stage of design-process,the artichetect should considerate climatic characteristics,terrain characteristics of the region and taking advantage of the surrounding plants to shade;Planning and design phase should consider site planning(building orientation,building layout),the relationship between architectural features,building facades form their own body and elements(balcony,air conditioning,seats,cornice)with the shade design,Preliminary design and construction drawing stage should according to the characteristics and requirements toward each function,economy to choose the right type of shade.In the aspects of shade element designing,it's mainly about the size of calculation and optimization of design detail.Where size is mainly to meet the shelter needs of the outdoor temperature and solar radiation intensity reaches a certain intensity;Optimal design of shade structures mainly through detail design to optimize shading effect.On the basis of two results proved above,this paper proposes the strategies of residential building shading design in Hunan district to guide the region's residential building shade design.Finally,based on the research results of this paper,by introducing a project I have done to validate the suitability,accuracy and effectiveness of the results.
