Applied Research Parametric In Landscape Design

Over the past decade,the Parametric set off a wave not only in the architecture design and even penetrated into the urban planning,landscape design,costume design and other fields.After entering the information age,all aspect of our lives are affected and changed with the development of computer technology.When the diversification of forms of Postmodernism has come to the ultimate pursuit,people focus back to the logic and performance design through the parametric design.Indeed parametric has been applied in the field of industrial design and the Architecture design more than a decade,but it has just started in landscape design until the beginning of this century,and did not form a complete design system.Parametric design brings a new concepts and design methods to landscape design field.Parameterization as a way of thinking affects the change of designers' thinking logic and ideas.Parametric is a bottom-up,emphasizing logic,emphasizing performance design,but also requires multi-disciplinary collaboration.This design approach fits more with the modern pluralism,inclusiveness,complicacy world.Meanwhile,as a digital-based technology,parametric also changed the process and patterns of traditional design.Collaborative design model gathers more professionals to work together on an integrated information platform,making the design process more intuitive and providing,higher design efficiency.The application of parametric in landscape design is not only a form change of design,but also a systematic updates includeinge design theory,design and construction methods.First,this paper begins with Deleuze's post-modern philosophy of ideology,and clarifyied its inspiration of thinking tubers,creases thought,nomadic thought and graphic design for designers today,introduced its philosophy's impact on the architectural space and form.This paper also elaborated how the origin and development of parametric design was impacted by fractal science,topology,and the emergence of other scientific theories under the development of modern complex subjects.Second,this paper discussed the parametric implementation in landscape design by combing the current computer parametric design platform with digital construction techniques.In addition,based on parametric theory and technology,this paper proposed a parametric landscape design system,including parametric design principles of landscape design,design patterns,design methods and procedures.This paper also introduced the advantages and specific application of parametric design methods in landscape design field through relevant case studies.Last,this paper analyzed the advantages and disadvantages as well as the future development of parametric in landscape design.
