Conservation And Utilization Research Of The Historic District Of Luoyang Old City

This paper researches the conservation and utilization of historic district for the Luoyang old city.From the development of Luoyang old city,this report analyses the cityscape change because of the replacement of dynasties.The space characteristics of Luoyang old city is studied from terrain,topographic,climate,geographical position and so on.The resident construct's character for historic district is revealed by the research of traditional folk house and historic building and it will be as a new basis for the conservation of historic district.Comparing with some mature patterns in the protection of historic cultural heritage for Chinese city,this paper put forward a new mode which adopts to the historic district of Luoyang old city.The feasibility of conservation and updating is analyzed and the goal and rule are confirmed.This report explores the protecting tactics and methods for historic district's space and building.The matter space shape which includes path space,border space,region space,node space and signpost are discussed and the relationship of various elements is studied.This paper attempts to recover the traditional space shape in details by analyzing Luoyang old city's social formation which includes utilization body,social culture and economic energy.It is a long-term project for the historic district protection for Luoyang old city.This report drafts the specific plan which contains the whole plan for district space and characteristic commerce.According to three principal lines which are unique building,characteristic culture and local customs and practices,this paper shows the history of ancient building,the culture of ancient resident and the custom of ancient celebrity.At the same time,the cultural character of historic district is advanced.Under the studies of planning land,organizing traffic and protecting traditional city space shape,this paper forms the strategic approach which benefits to develop in balance between the new and old city,bring social structure into harmony and develop the old city's economy with tourism.The scientific mode is also given in this report for the reasonable and effective protecting and development for historic district.
