With the development of intelligent terminal technology and wireless communi-cation technology,the vehicle equipment has become more and more intelligent,telematics as the primary means of driver obtain information,the existing telematics services have been far from satisfying the people needs.Cloud computing technology have the advantages of convenient network access,dynamically scalable virtualization,powerful computing and storage capacity,energy saving and excellent scalability,re-liability,availability,is an effective technology to address the limitation of telematics.However,research on the cloud computing towards telematics is still very limited,its new problems that rarely involved.In this paper,we focus on cloud computing tech-nology towards telematics,improved its key algorithm.The main research works are as follows:First,this paper considers cloud-based telematics is high real-time requirements,data security requirement is higher,terminal moving faster and terminal upload large amount of data,has divide cloud towards telematics into vehicle cloud,roadside cloud and core cloud,we also looking to the vision of typical telematics,explained the tech-nical difficulties that may arise in the future evolution.Second,existing virtual machine migration dynamic consolidation methods have too many unreasonable migration,we defined the migration profile parameter and pro-pose a migration cost-aware dynamic consolidation of virtual machine algorithm.Then,based on the above work,we also considers the time characteristics of the telematics,according to statistical data of car navigation service users in a city,we propose a virtual machine dynamic consolidation algorithms towards telematics.Finally,this paper chooses existing virtual machine dynamic consolidation algo-rithm and above two algorithms for comparison,the experimental results show that the proposed algorithms can effectively reduces not only energy consumption and SLA violation but also the number of migrations of virtual machines.
