Considering the current situation of the construction and the use of city public space,combined with the potential demand tendency,this article points out that the demand for recreation is important to building public space in the future.The city public space show a negative for failing to meet people's demand for recreation to a great extent.The introduction part introduces the research origin,purpose,significance and research methods,and defines the related concepts.Then the research is carried out from three aspects of history,theory and phenomenon.From the perspective of the history of literature in depth analysis,this article compares the history of the development of city public space in China with in Western countries,and get some implications for the overall macro level.From the perspective of the theory in induction and deduction of the environ mental behavior,this article constructs of the driving and feedback mechanism of recreational demand in city public space.From the perspective of the phenomenological to observe the external environment essential intuition,two important relations summed up "people and his environment" and "people and people",and analysis of the harmony relationship is a dynamic performance of recreation demand of city public space.A case study of Changsha survey three representative city public space and make a contras t.Through theoretical study and practical investigation,this article show a conclusion about negative characterization of micro level and macro level under the demand for recreation in city public space,and accordingly put forward the improvement strategy under the concept of the organic renewal.This article is considered to provide beneficial enlightenment for the construction of city public space.
