Research On The Design Of Campus Public Space Based On Environmental Behavior

Nowadays,the speed of knowledge iteration is accelerating,new technology industries are emerging in our country,and the global "knowledge economy" makes higher education popular.Modern universities put the ability of cultivating students’ comprehensive quality in the center of teaching,and the medium of transmitting education gradually extends from classroom to every corner of campus space.As the most dynamic part of the campus,public space bears multiple spatial functions in the composition of campus space.At the same time,public space design has become the key link in the process of architectural design and research.Based on the modern campus environment,this paper analyzes the functions of campus public space through the concept of environmental behavior,discusses the factors that affect the campus public space,and summarizes the principles and Strategies of campus design.The first part first combs the development process of the campus public space in Chinese and western universities,refines the characteristics of each period of the campus space,summarizes the types of the campus public space in the typical period,and obtains its spatial evolution process.And the characteristics of Chinese and western campus public space are compared to draw similarities and differences.The second part defines the related concepts and definitions of environmental behavior and public space,clarifies the attributes of environmental behavior,combs the theory of relevant works of environmental behavior,and summarizes the theoretical discussion that most fits the campus public space.The third part summarizes the elements of the campus public space,conducts research on the behavior characteristics and habits of contemporary college students,so as to find the living needs and problems of contemporary college students in the campus public space.And combined with the campus behavior of teachers and students to introduce environmental behavior study.The fourth part,through the above analysis and research,classifies the campus public space,introduces the design principles of Western and Chinese environmental behavior theory and different attributes of public space for corresponding research,and obtains the design principles of each public space of university campus one by one.
