Grout nipple,widely used in constructions and other water-proof leaking stoppage fields,still requires manual work in the assembly at the present stage.Each grout nipple includes two thin and small gaskets.Artificially fetching gaskets from a pile of gaskets in gasket boxes is time-consuming,tedious and inefficient.Inevitably mistakes may occur let alone labor costs are increasing year by year.Thus,developing an automatic assembly device to raise the efficiency of grout nipples and reduce labor costs has become a matter of top priority.The paper studies the technological process of automatic assembly.Referring to the procedure and process of labor assembly,the flowchart of grout nipple automatic assembly deice is mapped out to provide feeding modules with power by vibrating trays and linear feeders in accordance with the practical needs of enterprises.Each component of a grout nipple is assembled intermittently,tested and discharged in circular turntables.Each motion executing structure of assembly position adopts pneumatic actuators convenient in installation and maintenance with high reliability.Blockage problems may easily occur when assembling screw fasteners and metal rods with internal threads.Thus,the linear shaft flexible device is designed,adopting the assembly thinking of reversing to adjust gestures,looking for the spiral-in starting pint for threads,then rotating to fasten and assemble.The sleeve structure for fastening metal rods is approximate to a low-resistance elastic actuator,making up a passive compliant structure with the screws fastening with the finger cylinder.In line with the structural designing principle,the assembly system is designed as 5 modules,namely,feeding module,high-elasticity rubber,gasket-falling module,metal rod fastening module,and PLC control module.In accordance with the assembly process of mechanical structure and grout nipple,the control system of automatic assembly device has been developed,and the controlling plan takes PLC as the controlling core and realizes the assembly motions in pneumatic parts.In line with the number and connection mode of controlling components,I/O points of PLC module has been predicted to define the types of PLC and extension modules.Furthermore,the electrical schematic diagram and the pneumatic schematic diagram have been mapped out as well as the PLC input & output distribution chart.Meanwhile,the industrial touching screen has been adopted as the carrier of human-computer interaction.Based on the motion requirement of mechanical structure and the size in actual installation and other requirements,the types of the controlling hardware and executing structure have been reasonably chosen.Also,the linear feeding actuator,electron magnetic valve,sensor and cylinder have been determined in types.
