With the development of industrial production and technology,die casting mould is playing a more and more important role in the national industrial production.its production technology level has become an important symbol to measure the national equipment manufacturing industry level.At the same time,the amount and type of die casting mould products are increasing.In order to improving the production efficiency,many die casting mould enterprises want to develop series of auxiliary tools.In this context,the die casting mould tool system based Pro/E is designed and developed.The purpose of the system is to help designers quickly and efficiently finish when they are designing complex moulds.First,this article have introduced the origin of the subject,the current research status at home and abroad,and the content and significance of the project.With the rapid development of the die casting mould industry at home and abroad,it is the urgent problem to develop some kinds of die casting mould auxiliary tools with development tools.Then,we deeply studied the two development technologies of Pro/E and the related algorithms for die casting tools.The p-Q~2 diagram technology,die casting numerical simulation technology,three view automatic generation matrix transformation method,and B spline surface normal vector algorithm are introduced.The theoretical research method of die casting tool is put forward.According to the theoretical research method of die casting tools,combining with the modular design principle,the function module design of the system is completed.We use Pro/TOOLKIT technology,MFC visual dialog technology,and ACCESS database technology for this system.A practical auxiliary tool system,which includes gating system,cooling,slider,core pulling mechanism,drawing,detection and analysis module is established.An example test is conducted to verify the reliability of the auxiliary tool system.This design greatly improved the design efficiency of die casting mould,It have solved the outstanding problems in the design and production of die casting enterprises.Some basic research work has been done for the intelligent design process of die casting mould.
