| Clothing is a body-based design,which is closely related to the human body,thus showing unique aesthetic characteristics with other designs.Clothing exists according to the body,and the body expresses itself as clothing.However,in the history of clothing design,the body was once in a suspended and absent state,more of which showed the social function of clothing.Due to different philosophical thoughts and cultural backgrounds,the value of the body in today ’s era has been amplified,from the previous “neglected” to “bound”,and then “liberated” to “displayed”,the body aesthetic always stays on the appearance image of the body decoration of the clothing,and does not pay attention to the body consciousness performance and body experience in the design.The research object of this article is the design of Issey Miyake.Its research goal is to reveal the performance of body consciousness in Issey Miyake’s design.The research content is mainly based on the analysis and interpretation of Issey Miyake’s design works.There are three concepts including body-based design,embodiment of design,and aesthetic design of body.By analyzing the performance characteristics of Issey Miyake’s adding body elements to the design,and combing the history of clothing and body history,a body-oriented design concept study was conducted on its clothing.This paper attempts to reveal the embodiment tendency in its appearance,structural design and design goals by analyzing the design techniques and design concepts of specific works.Aiming at the body ideal in Issey Miyake’s design,from the perspective of body aesthetics,he explores the Japanese aesthetic consciousness " Wabi " and " Sabi ","Ma" and "Su" and the game of body and clothing.The significance of the research lies in the discovery of the concept of body consciousness embodied in Issey Miyake’s design works,and it has outstanding significance in the design history. |
