Vacuum drying is an important process that is prone to occur accidents in the production of explosives.The existed researches are mainly on the analysis and improvement of process parameters,but there are still some shortcomings in the research of system safety.Therefore,it is significant for accident prevention and risk control to research the danger of the vacuum drying process of explosives and the causes and mechanisms of the explosion accidents.Firstly,the potential instability factors in materials,processes and workplaces in vacuum drying operations were identified by the method of risk factor identification.The HAZOP method was used to analyze the causes and consequences of the deviation of various process parameters in the process.It was found that temperature of hot water,the impurities doped in the product and the amount of dust inside the drying cabinet will greatly affect the quality of the product and the safety in drying process.Secondly,an algorithm based on the post-order traversal of the fault tree to obtain the minimum cut set and the minimum path set was proposed,and the fuzzy fault tree was used to model the logical relationship of the cause of the explosion accident.87 minimum cut sets and 9 minimum path sets were obtained by calculation.The fuzzy probability of each basic event was calculated by experts' scoring method,and the structural importance and fuzzy importance were obtained.After analysis,we found that the main basic factors leading to the explosion accident were "the temperature of hot water is too high","residual material","unstable byproducts" and "operator force when removing the material tray",etc.Finally,the BZA-2 major hazard source identification software was programmed by Java.Then the software was used to identify major hazard sources in a RDX vacuum drying workshop in a chemical plant.The results showed that the risk of the workshop was moderately dangerous,and it was a hidden danger at the regional and head office level.Management and technical transformation should be strengthened.These three methods complemented each other and analysed the system safety of the vacuum drying process in both qualitative and quantitative aspects.The risk evaluation provided a guidance for the safe production of this process.
