With the improvement of living standards and the continuous development of economy in China,environmental problems have become increasingly prominent.Water is the source of life.At present,domestic water pollution is becoming more and more serious,which has gradually threatened the health and safety of the Chinese people.The outbreak of cyanobacteria in Taihu Lake in May 2007 affected the drinking water of millions of people around the lake,with extremely negative political and social impacts.How to make people drink healthy drinking water and prevent such things from happening again has become an important issue.Taihu Lake is located in economically developed areas with dense population,relatively complex environment and pollution sources in the surrounding watershed,high annual temperature and shallow water depth,and its water body characteristics are very representative of the southern region.At present,the water quality monitoring of Taihu Lake is still not comprehensive enough.The small and scattered independent sensors are used to monitor the water quality of Taihu Lake.There is a lack of a complete set of covering sensor hardware,embedded system software,remote data transmission system,supporting database and data analysis system as a whole solution,which can not achieve the early warning of water quality status and meet the needs of the state for Taihu Lake.Represents the corresponding requirements of online monitoring and early warning of water quality in South China.This design scheme takes the representative water body of Taihu Lake as the research core,combines the latest water quality sensor technology,meteorological equipment,video monitoring equipment,embedded system design(C language),remote data transmission system design,water quality data collection,storage,analysis system development(JavaScript,HTML language,PHP,CGI Technology).It can realize the management and service functions of on-line monitoring,early warning,dispatching command,remote control and system remote maintenance,on-line upgrading,statistical report,decision support,etc.for the water quality of the water source area in Taihu Lake,and develop the overall design and implementation scheme of on-line automatic monitoring and early warning system for the water quality of the water source area in Taihu Lake.
