At present,Chinese models are one of the indispensable groups in international fashion field,especially female models,which have different degrees of effect on the current fashion culture and public aesthetics.It can be seen from the intersection of aesthetics between the East and the West that the overall trend of image solidification of Chinese models is very obvious,and their appearance characteristics have become a complex and interesting research topic.The paper takes Chinese female models as the research object,which combines with "self-orientalization" theory,stereotypes,fashion culture and some others with the aid of Said's "Orientalism" theory.Meanwhile,qualitative and quantitative research methods are used to analyze the Chinese female images portrayed in the history of China and the West,and the relations with Chinese female models are linked in the international fashion culture,then the reasons why the international fashion culture has stereotyped Chinese female models are explored from various aspects,angles and levels.The paper is divided into five parts: the first chapter mainly introduces the stereotype,the research of aesthetic differences between China and the West under the fashion culture at home and abroad,and the theory of "Orientalism" are also raised;The second chapter analyzes the current situation of Chinese female models in reality by listing three typical images of Chinese women under the inherent thinking of the West;In the third chapter,the influence of the West on China and the self-identity of China are adopted to have a discussion about the phenomenon of "Orientalism" from the perspective of international fashion culture;In the fourth chapter,the phenomenon and reasons of stereotype of fashion consumer groups to Chinese female models are discussed from the two aspects of national culture background and the differences between Chinese and foreign audiences;In the fifth chapter,the relevant problems ofChinese female model image are dialectically summarized based on the analysis of the above four chapters.For the export of Chinese culture,Chinese models are the carrier of fashion culture.On the one hand,the influencing elements that play an important role are related to the differences between Western media and China in the process,on the other hand,they are also influenced by culture,which makes them different from China in aesthetic cognition.
