Design And Research On The Shoes Of The Elderly Diabetic People Based On The Humanized Design

As a growing worldwide disease,diabetes is becoming a serious threat to people's health.Patients with type 2 diabetes are mainly aged persons.Under the background of the Chinese aging society,the prevalence of diabetes in the aged population has increased,and diabetes has become one of the major health issues for elderly people.Diabetes can cause a variety of complications,diabetic foot is one of the most serious complications.Neuropathy in the feet,loss of consciousness in the limbs,abnormal high plantar pressure makes the patient cause trauma without awareness,at the same time the wound is infected and spread beneath their foot,ultimately leading to amputation.Related studies have found that 85% amputation can be prevented if diabetic patients could wear suitable diabetic shoes,which have function of preventing plantar ulcer,since they got diabetes.Therefore,footware with the function of preventing diabetic foot is gradually being concerned by the designers.This study concentrates on the growing social status of elderly people with diabetes.Type 2 diabetic patients over 60 years old are the core users of this research.This research will follow the humanized “people-oriented” concept to explore the physiological and psychological needs of the target population through the methods of user research,product market research and so on.In order to find an appropriate solution for the effective prevention of diabetic foot.This study starts with the target users' self foot protection consciousness,cognitive level of diabetic shoes,style requirement of shoes,these three aspects.This study will combine patient's characteristics of foot shape and plantar pressure distribution to trigger thinking of design,and then it will put forward six design breakthrough points of the humanized diabetic shoes.At the same time,depends on analyzing design features of the domestic and international diabetic shoes and the relevant experimental data to propose a strategy of humanized diabetic shoe design,which include last design,material design,structural design and color design five design elements,and the adoption of wearable plantar pressure measurement technology.Finally,according to the result of the research,practicing design diabetic shoes.Humanized diabetic shoes design not only reflects the foot health care of elderly patients with diabetes and make them far away from those disease,but also show the concentration and assistance to the special group.By designing a pair of satisfactory and professional diabetic shoes,helping them to face up to the diabetic foot and increasing their self-protect consciousness,in order to reduce the incidence of diabetic foot.
