Design And Practice Of Reversible Flat Knitted Garments

Based on the knitting technology of flat-bed knitting machine,this paper studies the design methods of reversible(double-sided)wear,including the definition of it,the analysis of its fabric types,the treatment of seams and its modelling design methods.On this basis,series fashion design practice is also carried out.First of all,in order to achieve reversible wear as the starting point,this paper classifies the horizontal knitting fabric in three aspects: basic weave,changing weave and pattern weave,so as to clarify the concept of reversible wear horizontal knitting clothing.15 kinds of basic double-sided flat knitting machine tissues are listed,including two kinds of basic tissues and one kind of change tissues,and 12 kinds of basic pattern tissues.There are 13 kinds of basic single-sided flat knitting machine tissues,including basic tissues and change tissues,and 11 kinds of basic pattern tissues.Furthermore,the characteristics and uses of the fabrics are summarized,and the possibility and consideration factors of realizing the reversible wear design of the single-sided and double-sided fabrics of the flat-bed knitting machine are put forward.Secondly,based on the analysis of fabric characteristics,this paper also explores and analyzes the important process of seam treatment in the process of reversible wear effect.Among them,the analysis of knitting garment seam technology includes chain technology,wrapping technology and tension technology analysis.The methods of joint treatment are divided into hiding method and strengthening method with examples to prove.Then,it classifies and enumerates examples of knitted garment seam modeling.Specifically,it includes conventional sewing design and unconventional innovative design(i.e.fabric weave design,burr design,splicing design,decoration design and seamless design).At last,the design methods suitable for single and double knitted fabrics are concluded.Finally,based on the summary of the knitting fabric and the joint technology and design of the knitted clothing,the paper applies it to the practice of knitted clothing,designs and weaves the series of clothing.Accordingly,the article also explains the key points in the development process of reversible flat-bed knitting machine.
